A live music night with a difference - singer/songwriters up close and personal, singing 'in the round'. This month we are proud to welcome...

Johnny5thWheel - The front man and principal songwriter of Johnny 5th Wheel & The Cowards. He has played with the Brute Chorus, We Are Scientists, Misty's Big Adventure, WaveMachines, Frightened Rabbit, Aidan Smith, Curtis Eller, Thomas Truax and Dartz amongst others as well as touring the UK and Australia. Festivals include Kendal Calling, Radio 1 Big Weekend, ABC and Glaston Ferret as well having made appearances on MTV and Radio 1.

Jack Dale - Jack is the front man of High energy funk ska gangster-folk band The Horse. He is a very talented singer/songwriter and musician who has released three stunningly beautiful albums in his career. To Be Ok, Aibophobia and New Moon Dance explore Jack's often experimental blues and folk style and are well worth adding to your CD collection to stack alongside your Nick Drake, Jeff Buckley and Kelly Joe Phelps CD which you should have.

Alex Bowron
- Alex is a very impressive singer/songwriter from Somerset. He makes regular appearances at most of the acoustic nights around Southampton. His style has developed over the years shifting between The Kings Of Leon inspired acoustic rock and raw experimental blues to the magnificent Andy Mckee figerpicking style guitar playing. On top of all that Alex is also a full time Tattooist at Dragstrip Tattoos in Southampton. Not a lot this boy doesn't do to be fair.

Don't miss one of the best Art House nights of the month (the next one is on 21st October 2011) with Steve Lowis's invited guest musicians playing on stage together 'in the round' taking in turns to perform a song each for you and sharing a bit of banter with each other. The atmosphere is always great, informal and attentive - musicians have frequently told us this is their favourite gig, having an audience that is there to really listen and enjoy the music. Come and join in the fun.
