METAMORPHOSIS director's (1 of 4) log Day 5

Hands up who else thinks this hour forward thing is a silly idea?
Apart from wondering which way up we were today, lots got done thanks to the amazing painting machine that is Tony, not forgetting our other volunteer, Lisa's excellent contribution of fab rollering skills and a huge pot o veg soup with heaps o garlic and pepper in!
Thanks also to Jeff (aka Van Chuff) for ferrying shedloads more art house tat from our former premises at 81a Bedford Pl to 178 Above Bar... Nina assembled all the tat into some resembling ordered chaos and teased an office upstairs out of all the doom. And we all sang silly songs about various things cos the abandoned stereo we inherited had gone to silicon heaven so we unceremoniously chucked it in the vast skip outside.
Sure I will be painting in my sleep. Now that our signature colours of pale yellow, a warm yellow and a sort of rich purply red are in place it really is starting to feel like the art house. Although just before lunch it felt as though we were inside a giant pot of that fruit corner yoghurt stuff.

Hugs and snugs to John for making us the yummy curry and roast veg and cycling it all the way from Bitterne to Above Bar on his bike then taking away the dirties again with nothing for thanks but a squashed hot cross bun!

He's been a busy lad today digging away in our back garden preparing a spot for our 6 asparagus crowns. Lucky us only another 2 years before we can harvest the spears (then you get a crop for 6-8 weeks every year in about May-June for the next 15-20 years - a very worthwhile investment and not as tricky to grow as a lot of folks imagine)
